f you’re without a bank account, you soon could have a low-cost way of sending cash to others — using your cell phone and a bank ATM. Amid criticism that banks aren’t doing enough to attract those who lack bank accounts, a Charlotte-based company, Privier Inc., is courting financial institutions to provide this service. [marketwatch] Privier’s patented “ATMSend” would let the so-called un-banked transfer cash without requiring the sender or recipient to have a bank ATM card or bank account.
